About

This space will help you become a better photographer through high-quality, in-depth courses and resources on image making, composition, image analysis, and lots more. You will find tailored educational resources here ranging from beginning to advanced. Whether you are new to holding a camera and don’t know where to start, or you are a seasoned pro looking to up your game, this will put you on the path to creating more compelling images.

The name Elementum highlights the focus on core (but not necessarily simple or easy) fundamentals for creating photographs that apply no matter what gear you use, from a Polaroid to a smartphone to a large-format Hasselblad and everything in between.

It also refers to my own pared down, minimalistic photography style, as you can see throughout the website, blog, and in my portfolio.
